Yes, we are currently accepting new clients.
We only provide online talk therapy counseling services. We do not prescribe medication. We do not complete disability paperwork, psychological assessments, psychological evaluations, nor diagnostic testing for any condition including ADHD and autism. If you need these additional services during your treatment, then we will provide you with referrals.
No. We do not have a physical location at this time. All counseling sessions are conducted online using HIPPA compliant audio and video services.
Yes. You must physically be located in the state of Pennsylvania to receive counseling services. You must also have a Pennsylvania address.
You can begin therapy by scheduling your initial intake appointment as a new client under the contact us page on our website. You will be prompted to enter your contact information and in the message section you may include reasons for therapy and request the therapist you would like to work with.
As a new client you can schedule your initial appointment online through our website with Christine Burille, LBS, LPC who will complete your intake. After you schedule, you'll receive an automated email with your appointment information. You'll also receive a follow up email from the office to submit your insurance information and consent forms. During your intake we will review your presenting concerns, background information, and develop a treatment plan. Additionally, we will create your online chart to include your insurance and billing information to process your insurance claims and payments for your sessions. After your intake, you will be scheduled with your therapist that you request or that is available for regular follow up appointments.
In your first follow up therapy appointment we are looking forward to hearing all about you! We will take the time to build rapport and learn more about you. We will create an environment where you feel comfortable and safe. We will review our policies, procedures, your intake, and your treatment plan to help clarify and answer any questions you may have. Throughout therapy we focus on your specific needs to individualize care. We can process current issues, past experiences, and build coping skills. Therapy is your space to talk about anything and everything you like without judgement. We are flexible, collaborative, and always open to feedback! We will check-in with you during and at the end of sessions to see how you are and how felt about the session. Our goal is to make sessions as beneficial as possible! So, we always appreciate hearing your feedback to best refine sessions to meet your needs.
You will receive appointment reminders via email that will include your session link where you can click to join your session online. You will receive appointment reminders via email and text 48 hours, 24 hours, and 1 hour prior to your appointment.
Our talented therapists offer a wide range of therapeutic skills and treatment approaches. We individualize treatment to meet your specific needs. We treat concerns relating but not limited to anxiety, depression, autism, attention deficit hyperactivity disorder, post-traumatic stress disorder, trauma, stress management, anger management, grief, alcohol use, substance use, work stress, school related problems, college transition, divorce, and life transitions.
We enjoy working with and providing care for adults, teens, and children. Our experienced therapists offer diverse skill sets where we will individualize your treatment specifically to you. We will use strategies to fit your needs from therapeutic approaches including cognitive behavioral therapy, mindfulness-based stress reduction, narrative therapy, motivational interviewing, somatic therapy, trauma-informed therapy, play therapy, and behavioral therapy.
If you are a new client, you can request a therapist by clicking on the "schedule online" button under the contact us page on our website. You will be prompted to schedule an appointment and in the "message" section you can request your therapist. If you are an existing client and need to change therapists, please send an email to newbeginningsvirtualcounseling@gmail.com. We understand and are happy to help in any way we can with accommodations, needs, and requests.
The cost of a counseling session is determined by your health insurance plan. You may have a copay, coinsurance, or a deductible that is your responsibility. If you are paying without insurance, out of pocket cost is $125 per session.
We accept United Health Care, Optum, Oxford, Oscar, GEHA, Aetna, Meritain, Cigna, Quest Behavioral Health, Horizon Blue Cross Blue Shield of New Jersey, Blue Cross Blue Shield of Massachusetts, Capital Blue Cross, and Independence Blue Cross.
We are not in-network with Medicaid or Medicare at this time.
We accept all major credit cards, debit cards, and Healthcare Flexible Spending Accounts (FSA), Health Savings Accounts (HSA), and Healthcare Reimbursement Arrangements (HRA) cards. Not all HSA/FSA cards allow for online transactions. You must contact are card issuer to verify that it can be used for online payments.
The card that you use for payment will be kept on file and it will be charged at the time of your appointment for your counseling session.
If your insurance will be changing as an existing client, please send a copy of your new insurance card front and back to newbeginningsvirtualcounseling@gmail.com. If you are a new client anticipating a change of insurance, we will begin with your currently active coverage.
Sessions are held weekly. This helps us to effectively build therapeutic rapport and to accomplish your treatment goals. As you progress through therapy, sessions can be reduced to biweekly and/or if your treatment goals have been achieved then we complete discharge.
We require 24 hours' notice to cancel your appointment. If your appointment is cancelled within 24 hours or you do not show for your appointment, the cancellation fee is $65. The first late cancellation/no show fee is waived but any afterwards will incur a fee. If there are frequent cancellations (3 or more in 6 months) or 2 consecutive cancellations, then we may no longer be able to provide services.
If you are going to be late to an appointment, please contact your therapist as soon as possible to let them know. If you are more than 15 minutes late then the appointment will be cancelled, incur the cancellation fee, and need to be rescheduled. You can discuss with your therapist alternative days and times that you need for consistent attendance. We are happy to accommodate your scheduling needs.
